Kids artwork closes this Tuesday!

The entries for kids artwork in Section P close this Tuesday. All entries and artwork need to be in to the show office by Tuesday afternoon to be judged. Late entries will not be judged but will be displayed at the show.

All other entries close on Thursday at 12pm.

Horse show is still on!

WE HAVE NOT BEEN AFFECTED BY FLOODING.

If you have friends who might be horse show entrants, please assure them our horse events are going ahead.

100 years… 1911-2011

Cohuna Show celebrates 100 years of showing in Cohuna!

It all began back in 1911 when the folk of Cohuna decided they would have an agricultural show. The first meeting of the Cohuna A. P. & H. Society was held in May 1911 – and here we are 100 years later, celebrating our 100th year of showing. It’s only our 98th annual show because some were cancelled in the war years – but that doesn’t matter. For a society to have survived 100 years of planning, meetings, highs and lows, that’s a pretty darned high achievement. (How many hours of hard labour does that amount to?) So, come along to our show and help make it a big one!

All exhibits entered in the pavilion are to be dropped off between 8.30am and 10am today.

Judging takes place this morning behind closed doors.

Pavilion entries have now closed. The ladies have been busy in the pavilion arranging all the paperwork and setting everything up ready for exhibits to arrive in the morning.

Exhibits must be tabled before 10am (we’ll be there around 8.15am).

It has been all hands on deck this week in preparation for the Show. The pavilion has had a top to tail clean and is gleaming. The grounds (including pavilions, grounds etc) have also had a makeover and are ready for the big day. Thanks to the willing band of workers who contributed the many hours to get the grounds up to scratch, you have done a wonderful job!

Kids’ art work has been judged. The judges and assistants flew through this job in record time.
